of the Govt. of India, new capacity addition in Power Generation
have been projected as 1,10,000 MW. This translates to an
investment of Rs. 4,000 billion (USD 90 billion) approximately in
the power generation field. Correspondingly there will be huge
investment in the transmission and distribution area which is
estimated to be about Rs. 4500 billion (USD 101 billion).

of 33/11 KV, 5 MW each and augmentation of seven existing switchyards
and is being executed. Very shortly, the company proposes to enter into
the Power Transmission area upto 132 KV. While major electrical equipment
will be outsourced, structures will be manufactured in-house. Other activities
like erection, commissioning and testing will be carried out by the company.
Experts in these fields have been recruited in the company recently.
The company also proposes to enter into the field of Captive Power
Plants very shortly. While turbine and generators will be outsourced,
the other equipment like LP/HT Heaters, Deaerator, air cooling systems,
