GEI is able to design and fabricate water cooled condenser of circular or rectangular in shape for industrial /  captive power plant or utility power plant up  to 150 MW unit rating.

GEI supply steam surface condenser complying to international standards / codes for thermal and mechanical design. typical codes and standards include heat exchanger institute (HEI) standards for steam surface condenser, ASME Section VIII; Div-I, TEMA. software packages are employed for design analysis related to tube vibration, tube nest layout, structural support analysis etc.. Associated auxiliaries equipment such as steam jet air ejector, condensate extraction pump, piping, valves and instrumentation can be supplied along with condenser as a complete system.

Quality management ensure a quality product is manufactured and supplied.

 

A feed water heater is a shell-and-tube heat exchanger. GEI designs and manufactures both low pressure heater and high pressure heaters which serves power plant up to 150mw rating. Feed water heater may be constructed suitably for horizontal or vertical installation, depending on the plant design requirement. The physical and thermal characteristics are vastly different for low and high pressure feed water heaters. Each feed water will contain from one to three separate heat transfer areas or zones including the de-superheating, condensing and sub-cooling zones. we offer admiralty brass / stainless steel tubes LP-heater and stainless steel tubed HP-heaters.

Feed water heater are designed as per the stringent requirement of international standards like ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, HEI standard for closed feed water heater, TEMA and IBR, as applicable.

In modern power plant the deaerating plant plays the following roles

  • An equipment to remove all dissolved gas / oxygen in feed water. Boiler tube corrosion can occur if the feed water exceeds a certain level of dissolved gases.

  • A direct contact stage feed heater.

  • Feed water storage for boiler feed pump suction at a suitable NPSH.

  • An equipment to meet load surges.

The process of effective deaeration of water is based on two steps

  1. Heating the incoming feed to saturation temperature by means of steam.

  2. Increase the surface area of feed in contact with the steam.

This process decreases the solubility of dissolved gases and remove it from feed water. Deaerators are designed such that the oxygen content of boiler feed water at deaerator outlet will not exceed 7ppb.

Codes followed are BS: 5500, HEI for Deaerator and ASME SEC VIII. GEI offers Spray-Type design or spray cum tray design Deaerator suitable for power plant up to 150 MW unit rating.
